a little bit about me…
Thanks for stopping by!
I’m a multi-disciplinary Artist & qualified Art Therapist. I love working in pencil, ink, watercolour, clay and just about anything I can be creative with!
I’m a sensitive introvert living in a chaotic world. I’m a mum of tweens navigating a new era of parenting. I’m curious but grounded. I love music and silence equally. I love writing, but love reading more. I am energetic but need rest. I love my tribe & also my solitude. I love the ocean & snow, I recharge in nature. I believe in universal energy & welcome all the mystical.
I navigate ongoing management of a brain tumour that took me many years to accept. My challenges have forced me to look inward & get comfortable in the uncomfortable. I have personally experienced the profound effects of creativity for healing & wellbeing.
I’ve always had a creative life. From mugs of warm blackcurrant juice in my grandma’s art studio as a child, through to many lunch hours at school spent in the art or darkrooms. Leaving school I was a professional wedding and portrait photographer for 10 years, and then an interior designer for 10 years; all these paths have circled me back to my need to create. So here is my happy place; where all my creative loves collide.
My journey has taught me our stories don’t define us; healing is not linear & growth is infinite. I believe being a good human in this world is about being curious, a healthy dose of unlearning and welcoming every part of ourselves. I have found freedom in letting go of perfection (this is an ongoing mission for me!). The human experience is messy; but the quiet spaces in between - where I can create - is where the magic is.
about my ‘why’…
Art is not just an activity, but a profound pathway to understanding ourselves. Creativity is a natural language of healing - a way to express what words cannot, to explore our inner landscapes, and to transform our experiences.
I believe that every person carries an innate creative spark, regardless of technical skill or prior artistic experience. Creativity is not about producing perfect artwork; but about the journey of self-discovery, emotional processing, and personal growth.
Creativity is a way of living, a way of being in the world - it is our most authentic expression of self.
By embracing both traditional and innovative approaches, I create a compassionate, inclusive space where imagination becomes a powerful tool for wellbeing, connection, and personal transformation.
"Creativity is a wild mind and a disciplined eye."
